In 2014 Morne Basson started Thorn Woods as a local firewood supplier to the retail industry and public sector. The aim was to supply good quality firewood at a reasonable price.

From the word go, it was filling the gap that was left open by the competition. The hands-on approach, personal attention and prompt delivery gave Thorn Woods the upper hand. Today we still apply the same norms.

Thorn Woods has grown from a small time business to one of the Western Cape’s leading firewood suppliers. In 2020 we spread our wings to start a new venture into the export market. We are continually striving to improve our product range and services.
